A: Hi! Do you ever wonder if anyone is out there thinking or feeling the same things you are? I do as I get squeezed through the emotional plunges of an empathic flight through this moment of humanity. It is a wild time, that is for sure. Between the fluidity of genders blending into new types of identified beings beyond the human species, AI feeling sad, Ohio as the next Chernobyl, and imminent war in the air, I have all the feels. When I say imminent, it could be a couple of years off but I can smell it. And when my future senses are dialed in, I start living today in preparation for what is coming down the pipeline of life. The next step? Stay present.
Today is a new moon in Pisces. This is a new moon of endings and beginnings…it is the beginning of a new moon cycle and the ending of the astrological year. It is the end of winter and the deep exhale of nature before Earth’s rebirth inhale of spring. When I look back on these last four seasons, I feel this year is one that has been formative and completely life-changing. I am altered forever and am still in process. How about you?
MARCH 2020 TO NOW
This moon cycle also wraps up Saturn’s last three years in Aquarius. When Saturn entered Aquarius in March 2020, a restructuring of humanity was initiated. Saturn is not an easeful planet and does not refrain from utilizing powerful measures to course correct. Saturn is full of limitation, discipline, alignment, strategy, structure, time, and all of this with a sprinkle of karma to boot. There is a payment due when Saturn comes to visit and it is expensive but worth it. The changes that occur when Saturn is in the mix are definitive, leading you into uncharted territory for the next chapter. This is where we find ourselves now, as Saturn begins again in Pisces on March 7th.
And not only is Saturn soon to make waves in this dreamy and escapist water sign, it is also certain to bring us down to reality in ways that help us to actually make our dreams come true rather than remain in never-never land.
Another wave maker, or rather the tsunami-beholder Pluto will be exiting through the gift shop of patriarchal Capricorn into the humanitarian intellectual of Aquarius. The times are changing. The maniacal leaders of the predictable and boring world of dictatorial tech are crashing into walls of stagnation. And as our current government swallows itself whole (are you looking forward to this next presidential election?), the end of the old blazes before our eyes with a radical intensity. Patriarchy and politics, themes that have taken over the airwaves during Pluto’s reign through Capricorn will shift into future-forward solution-oriented crisis-navigating AI-infiltrating humanity-encompassing themes.
NEW MOON INTENTIONS
This moon is a moon of contemplation and assessment. What are you leaving behind and what are you stepping into? What dreams are to be realized and which ones are to burn and bury? Death and Rebirth are two sides of the same coin. Right now, the invitation is to walk the line between them into a bold and fresh-bodied spring that will look, feel, and reveal itself differently than anything we have known.
As for those of you who are oriented toward service and lean near the empathic end of the spectrum, this is a good moon to seek reserve within. Neptune rules Pisces and encourages the sacrifice of self for others. Observe and note when you have given more than you’ve received. Presence is the antidote for overwhelm and understanding. There is so much to digest in this world, it can be a lot. Take care and review your ability to both give and receive as Saturn will be sure to remind us in the next few years of this valuable lesson.
Enjoy this moment my friends, it is rich as you compost your past into the fertile ground of your future promises. I personally do not feel allegiance to my past at all. This is a time for new vows and new commitments. Be discerning in your choices as the consequences and outcomes will outlast your current perspective. The future is designed by your today. May it be bright and may your dreams find you awake to a new light within.
