Ready for Deep?
INNER INVESTIGATIONS + COMMUNICATION
Q: Ready for Deep?
A: By now, fearless reader, we know a few things about each other. You know about me based on what I share in these weekly journal entries and I know that you are willing to explore beyond what is commonly discussed in everyday conversation as you keep coming back for more. I appreciate that you do btw, and hope that sharing my inner investigations is in some way beneficial for you too. Truly, I feel this is why we are here; to help ourselves so we can help each other.
Let’s focus on the recent few days. Can you immediately think of a situation or a conversation that brought your internal shadow up for review? At minimum were you mirroring this back to someone you love? If you are human, you care and are sensitive to the planetary bodies that represent aspects of our psyche and transformational journey, then I imagine you have felt a jolt within the depths of your being.
Conversations are being had and I happen to truly enjoy the art of communicating. Whether Plutonic in nature as the past couple of days or expansive and brilliant as we shall see in the next few. Days come and go, and so do the opportunities to see new parts of ourselves emerge from the unknown and unconscious realms. It takes courage to face ourselves but if we didn’t, there would never be anything to change. And without change, there is stagnation. And with stagnation, there is sickness. In sickness, there is death…so I say let’s bring our attention to life.
It is a paradox, isn’t it? That in order to live, parts of us must die (change) and that it can be uncomfortable, causing squirming sensations or indulgence in avoidance altogether. Have you noticed this within yourself? Or in reflection over time as it passes by? When you think about the major changes that have occurred in your life, can you see what parts of you died and that others were born simultaneously? The journey from maidenhood to motherhood is a perfect example of death and birth, figuratively and literally.
Recently I have had to face myself in ways that were beyond imagination. I leaned into it and despite the agony of layers of self dissipating before my eyes, it was that very instance of dissipation that also brought utter liberation and lightness to every sense of my beingness. It is similar to the old adage that refers to the fear of something being more frightening than the thing itself, or however that goes. And then we have this gem from Hellen Keller, “Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold." And with that I suggest, we choose boldness - just in case!
