What Is a Karmic Echo?
LEARNING FROM the CYCLES of life
Q: What Is a Karmic Echo?
A: We are cyclical in nature. Whether we feel it as we traverse life through seasons, or days and nights amidst the sun and the moon, or observe it within our very own bodies, hormones, emotions, and age. There are life cycles and there are death cycles, and there are cycles of karma that reverberate throughout time. Have you ever noticed how the anniversary of a birth, death, or perhaps a trauma holds a particular energy? Have you wondered why this is so?
Astrology is a beautiful map and simultaneously, a guide. I feel so fortunate to have the lifelong possibility of learning this incredibly intricate language of the stars. Every time I offer a reading I always encourage my clients to continue to learn about these planets that represent archetypes within their psyche. And I tell them that once they dive deep in, there may be no going back (except retrograde)…only forward and around in cycles.
So what is a karmic echo? It is a bit like it sounds. There will most likely will be an intense transit occurring in one or several charts of the people involved. Then, a situation arises, it could be the birth and the death of something simultaneously as well as a traumatic event perhaps. Later on, maybe a year later from said event, there is the potential for an echo. If you review and compare the astrology of both dates, there may be a similar transit occurring that is unlocking a deeper level of understanding, or rather triggering aspects of the previous event to endure again but this time with less consequence and more of a learning opportunity.
These experiences are not always obvious but if you observe yourself around the anniversary of big events, you may recognize these types of echos. At other times, the echos are blaringly clear, even painfully so, with almost an “as if the lesson wasn’t fully learned the first time” vibe. The situations may be slightly different, even different people involved, but if it is a karmic echo, you will certainly be the common denominator.
