Are You Radical?
Q: Are You Radical?
A: Every one of us is made up of an internal universe. Stars, planets, asteroids, and space debris are all orbiting the inner planes, instigating an experience that is completely unique to our individual lived present moment. In this way, each common and known planetary body is represented as well as those yet to be discovered. Uranus, a planet of extraordinary energy, insight, and power is the rebel of our galaxy and is also center stage in the exploration of our current full moon in Aquarius.
The brilliant sun of Leo shines resplendently upon the canvas of our moon. For any full moon, the direct sunlight illuminates from across the cosmos and calls forth the shadow of its eternal opposite, in this case, Aquarius. Themes of over-intellectualization of our feelings, aloofness, and inflexibility of mind could arise up from within. Observing ourselves is key to understanding the greater mysteries that astrology speaks to so eloquently.
Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus. Each of these power planets is intricately involved in this moon and thus reveal simultaneous insights for now and future inner work. Saturn is opposite Mercury which can feel like an extension of Mercury Rx (retrograde), a time when communications can be confused, disagreements may arise, as well as cause frustration. Tuning in to the facet of discernment reflected by Saturn can help to turn the conversations into a useful approach for self-awareness, albeit not pleasant at times.
Uranus is squaring this moon with the potent and flamboyant flair that fans the fire of its well-earned reputation for eccentric and electrical presence. With Uranus in Taurus the reciprocation of the unsettling jolts of cosmic lightning is directed toward our homes and how we live, our environment, financial stability (or lack thereof), and our personal set of values.
What does it mean to have a value system and where does it come from? We live, breathe and navigate the world based upon our personal values and principles. Most of us were raised with an instilled value system, for better or inner work; even if we were raised by wolves our values could be that of independence, keen observation, and loyalty.
The second house of our astrological chart is ruled by Taurus and thus governs the before mentioned areas and highlights our relationships with our body, the earth, resources, and values. At some point in life, we may be internally asked to reassess the value system from which we are living life. Upon review, we may recognize that we have outgrown systems of thinking and feeling that are still governing our inner world. It is a definitive journey to discover your true values and live them into being.
Perhaps as turbulent as this full moon may wax its way into expression at full light, instead of running for the bunker, we could each embrace the shocking nature of being touched by the fire of lightning, and allow the radical love of Uranus to penetrate our every cellular body. Become a walking embodiment of the depth of surrender to change and forge ahead with the grace of your ecstatic heart. Sweetest revolutionary dreams to you if the moon lets you sleep!
