How Pregnant is Your Pause?
Q: How Pregnant is Your Pause?
A: Inside of each one of us is a vision of life. It is unique, it is bold, and it is empowered by the grace that beats our hearts. Your particular vision is one for the ages, the essence of which has been touched by every molecule that you are. All the blood, sweat, and tears you have experienced as a human being brushes its DNA upon the effervescent and indescribable nature of your embryonic light of mind. It is both a duty and a service to live this into reality. Where are you in the journey of your becoming? This moment feels weighted with divine fire. The energy is pressing each one of us to the edge of our discomfort. This is growth. This is right now…
As I surge against the pressures of this moment, charged with difficulty in every direction, I remember myself. I recall the presence of my heart and why I have chosen to be here now, so alive, so full. It isn’t just to relish in the beauty of our magnificent planet, snuggle into beloveds, or even to create from within. I am here because it is my destiny to be here, and I am but a humble servant to that which is so much greater, leading me through the mire of my mind and my karma towards new possibilities.
I am here to learn. To be a student of life. This is the place I will inevitably fall down and once again pick myself back up. Sometimes I feel like a toddler in it all. Naive in my joy just enough to keep me optimistic even when the dark night comes over me. And every time, more keen to the reality of nature. Especially in those tenebrous hours where the shadows come out to play. I inquire within, “What are they showing me? What do they want? How can I know myself even more if I keep my eyes open rather than avoid what I am seeing?”
Perseus, the greek hero, symbolic of our own soul, was given a gift from Athena during his personal hero’s journey. In the name of great love and protection, he was presented a shield from which he could guard himself against the evil eye of Medusa. It is said that he would only look to her (his deepest shadow) from the safety of the reflection of the interior of this sacred shield. Thus, he didn’t expose himself directly to her piercing gaze and was able to decapitate her, meaning, liberate himself from his ego-self.
Today’s moon is in Leo, the fifth house of creation and self-expression. There is a direct square with the Mars/Chiron/Uranus/Black Moon conjunction that is unavoidable. In opposition to this Leo moon, we have the bold and benefic Sun/Jupiter conjunction bestowing a powerful blessing and perhaps offering a magical shield of power and grace through which we can observe the clashing of our inner titans. Pluto and Venus dance in a seductive embrace, close enough to shake anyone of a false notion of a relationship. And yes, there is so much potency in this full moon that one cannot digest it all at one glance. Mercury heading retrograde in 2 days will ensure that these lessons are exposed and ruminated over for some time during this next month.
What is the cosmic tension revealing for you in your life? Where are you being asked to hold vision within yourself until the true moment of ripening? What comes to my mind is a whale in this moment of such profound depth and experience. They are the teachers expressing songs of ancient glorious wisdom to remind us while juxtaposed amidst the immense challenges we face as beings on our planet. A mother whale holds her babe within her womb for up to 16 months. Patience. Soon a calve will emerge, newborn at 3 tons of weight and perhaps 25 feet long. Powerful. Once born, they can grow by 200 pounds per day, indicating an unstoppable momentum. Radical. Birth requires tension as well as cultivation of our greatest virtues to fully embrace this process with grace. Enjoy your pregnant pause. Once birthed, the gift of you is self-expressed and the world becomes its shepherd.
We cannot change the world until we accept we are the world. This is the new conversation.
