Which Way Will the Wind Blow?
Finding Balance with the Libra Full Moon
Q: Which Way Will the Wind Blow?
A: The winds of destiny can be fierce and at other times breezy. They can pulsate between cold to cool and warm to hot depending on the moment of life being lived. The exchange of temperature creates an intense rotation that often marks that of a tornado; a powerful vortex of energy that eradicates what is in the way or that which has been before now.
Today expresses a full Libran moon and the scales of cosmic balance are in full effect. The lunar glow is a semblance of the brilliant light from the Aries sun in conjunction with Venus and Chiron. In other words, Love is in the air and the deep penetrating fiery light within it will dredge up any hurts, traumas, and wounds ready to meet this moment in courage for healing.
I am sitting on the edge of a mountain, figuratively and literally. The actual mountain top I am perched upon right now is so serene, full of wildlife; birds, wild turkeys, baby deer, and the rustling of leaves over Manzanita’s shedding bark. The Manzanita tree is known as the symbol for rebirth to Native Americans as it sheds its skin similar to that of a serpent.
The metaphoric mountain of my moment is expressed through transiting Pluto conjunct my Venus. Venus rules our relationships, our finances, and our value system. As a woman, it is also the very nature of my femininity and my identity as such. Pluto, Lord of the underworld, is transforming me from deep within and making some powerful requests of which I am attending to. There is a rumble in the depths of my soul aligning me to the true north of the current existence that I am.
In the present stellar light for all to experience, Venus in opposition to the full moon alludes to the tension of desire perhaps unfulfilled or the need for reassurance between lovers and partners. If single, this could be reflected in other relationships where unconscious insecurities are seeping up to be seen, contemplated, and transformed through understanding.
Chiron is the wounded healer, the galactic shaman that reveals the depths of ancient pains only to bring our attention to them, especially if we have been avoiding or unaware. With Chiron in the mix of the Sun/Venus conjunction in Aries, it appears that the newfound realizations of uncharted pains may come with some intensity and/or eruptions of impatience from within.
The Libran Shadow
Libra is an air sign, signaling the winds of change to restore the balance that may have shifted too far in one direction in our lives. Can you see where you can reorient yourself to a new center of gravity? Have you spent a little too much energy, time, or focus in one area without attending to other aspects of your life?
As with any full moon, we are invited to see what is reflected by the opposing sun (in this case the light of Aries--impulse, power, initiative) as well as consider the shadow of what we cannot see (the underbelly of Libra--codependency, superiority, indecisiveness). The Libran shadow asks us to review the ways in which we relate, share and co-create. Where do you find yourself in this act of balance?
This moon will help you to evaluate your current personal checks and balances, especially in the domain of where you are withholding love, either to yourself or with others. In general, where we are withholding love in one relationship is a signal to where we may be withholding love in all relationships.
Let the winds of change take us home. May we find balance as we journey from one golden step to the next…
