Why Women?

Q: Why Women?

A: Women, of course! And Women are Now. At Joan of Sparc we see them as leading the march into a new future. Women are innately equipped with a capacity for a high level of emotional intelligence that is very useful in times of great adversity. Look at Joan of Arc, a fearless maiden who led both men and women through her connection to the light within her. Woman, women, womyn, the feminine - these words embody receptiveness, deep listening, inner journeys, intuition, emotion, feelings, dreamers, weavers, mothers, sisters, lovers, brides, priestesses, queens, princesses, fairies, healers, artists, musicians, seers, dancers, colors, creators, teachers, disciples, philosophers, astronomers, astrologers…etc. Men are with us, in our families, hearts, wombs and emotions…they have their own role to live out and I believe they are working on finding out what that is right now.

There is a blazing truth within and each of us is invited to discover this for ourselves. The present moment is complex and surreal. Some say that gender has become a decision rather than a destiny, others disagree, and still personal exploration around gender identities for teens is as common as social media. I am a woman, and honored to be one, so I can only speak from my experience as someone born into this life as a she. And in this moment, the feminine is bringing forth a wisdom that has been overlooked for far too long. This is not a contest between the masculine and the feminine. This is about respect, dignity, reverence and honor as human beings in the effort to bring our internal spheres into balance.
