Q: What is Metamorphosis?

“Identity was a liquid state, ever interchangeable, and adaptable to its surroundings... It was better to not have favorites - a snake didn't mourn when it had to shed its skin.” ~Leonardo Donofrio

A: metamorphosis | ˌmedəˈmôrfəsəs | noun (plural metamorphoses | -fəˌsēz |  a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means

Or...the process of one who is obsessed with transforming themselves from the inside on a daily. Who can relate? Change is awkward and stunningly uncomfortable. (Warning: intentional run-on sentence ahead for all of those grammar police out there) I know many of us talk about transformation as if it is some ideal, and perhaps it is to those of us who enjoy the feeling of liquifying our innards and surrendering to the epic squeezing of our internal reality as we forge our way through the mighty earthen shards to finally gasp a new breath while feeling that first ray of light, warm upon our dirt encrusted cheek. Sound familiar? Most likely it would to the hearty crowd and to those who relish in the dance of Pluto. Pluto, who rules the underworld of our zodiac, is not faint of heart itself. Pluto invites us to know every ounce of who we are and who we are not, forcing us to choose, again and again, who we will be today. Death is for breakfast, Rebirth for lunch and Metamorphosis is for dessert. Dinner? Who needs it? Pluto is obviously also a rebel. Welcome to Eclipse season. May we all morph into the new birth of ourselves, unseen ever before to the naked eye.
