How Does the Bible Spell Out Eclipse?

Q: How Does the Bible Spell Out Eclipse?

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doves. ~ Matthew 10:16

A: Consider we are both sheep and wolves and that the way to resolve this dualistic internal battle coincides with the wisdom and innocence Matthew alludes to. The current Lunar Eclipse provides insight towards this inquiry within our much greater human story. Leading up to the culmination of this day, with Mars conjunct the Moon opposite our Sun all squaring Uranus, an intuitive uneasiness has been building from within. I’ve been drawn into the reflection of betrayal, both of oneself and from those I love. Why? Eclipses encourage a deeper honesty with ourselves and nearly force us to review the depths of darkness lurking in our unconsciousness. The mirror of today reveals the shadow and if we choose to avoid it, the momentum will only build under the surface and certainly an eruption will arise at a most inconvenient time. Better now…better now. Although it could be painful, looking into the past from where you are today offers silent gifts including opportunities to: review your speech (Mercury in retrograde), review your actions (Mars in retrograde), review your dreams (Neptune in retrograde), review your focus (Saturn in retrograde) and review your inner work (Pluto in retrograde).

We will all experience betrayal in our lifetime, and if we are lucky, perhaps more than once. I say this in jest yet supported with 100% truth from my point of view.  It really doesn’t get any better than “betrayal medicine”, as one of my dear friends calls it, to stretch our hearts ever wider, accept, forgive and transcend the pain in order to grow…perhaps picking up a little wisdom along the way. Ultimately, we ourselves alone are the most vicious wolves within our own mind. And our worst enemy does not exist outside of our skin. Be vigilant of your inner world in order to cultivate and co-create a new external world worth living into. And most importantly, we must remember that we are also sheep, we are loved, we are protected, we are humble in the heart of our hearts. This is our unbreakable sanctuary accessible regardless of external circumstances. Our call to action is to know this and to know who we truly are. May we be wise as serpents and innocent as doves in these heated days and those to come.
